Open and minimally invasive liver surgery

In liver resections, surgeons face the challenge of removing tumors while protecting vessels and bile ducts. The ergonomic Macro instruments from Söring meet this challenge. They use both the cavitation as well as the mechanical effect of ultrasonic technology to reliably fragment liver parenchyma at 25 kHz. Solid tissue structures of vessels and bile ducts remain largely unscathed.

Depending on the size, number and location of the tumor, resection can be performed either open surgery or laparoscopic.
